Mallorca offers the perfect opportunity to end the day. With the right setting, the perfect moment and good company, here are the best places to watch the sunsets on this island.

Sa Foradada

This place is renowned for offering the most beautiful sunsets on the island. The view from this viewpoint, which has a restaurant and bar, is simply beautiful. Situated on the road from Valldemossa to Deià, Sa Foradada has a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, where the sun sets right next to a large characteristic rock that rises above the water.

To make the most of this experience, it is advisable to arrive well in advance, as it is a very busy place and parking can be difficult to find.

Ses Sanimes Tower (Banyalbufar)

The Torre de Ses Sanimes is a must-see viewpoint for several reasons: spectacular views, its well-preserved tower and the combination of the “Sierra de Tramuntana” and the sea. To get to the top of the tower, you’ll have to climb some narrow stairs, but once you get to the top it’s definitely worth it.

Sa Creueta viewpoint (Cape Formentor)

Located in the north of Mallorca, the Sa Creueta viewpoint is some 20 kilometres from Pollensa, near Cape Formentor. In addition to enjoying the sunset, from here you can also see the “Sierra de Tramuntana”, the outline of Menorca and the island of Colomer on clear days.

Lighthouse of Formentor

You can’t visit Mallorca without reaching the Faro de Formentor lighthouse. You’ll have to drive along a winding road, but wait for the sunset and it will be worth it. The Faro de Formentor lighthouse is located in a spectacular, steep terrain. We recommend arriving in good time, as the road is narrow, parking is limited and it tends to be quite crowded.

Es Trenc beach

Es Trenc is considered one of the best beaches in Mallorca. Although it can be a bit crowded during the day, when the sun goes down, this place shines with its own light. It is located in the south of the island, near Colonia de Sant Jordi, and has a calm sea and an extensive beach of more than two kilometres, ideal for enjoying the sunset. Parking in Es Trenc is chargeable and has closing times, so it is advisable to check your arrival before you go. If you prefer to avoid this, you can go to Ses Covetes beach, which is a continuation of Es Trenc to the north and tends to be less crowded.

Sant Elm

A charming Mallorcan village that offers views of the islet of Sa Dragonera, which is a particularly beautiful landscape during sunset. Although the terraces are tempting, we recommend following a path along the coast until you reach an area known as Punta Blanca, where you can find a comfortable spot to enjoy the sunset.
